Sarah + Ben - Mt Sturgeon Homestead, Victoria

It’s certainly not your everyday wedding when you hike for an hour to reach mountain peaks and wide-eyed views; but when you do, it is a reward like no other, and not just for the bride and groom. Being a wedding photographer is so much more than just capturing moments or portrait pictures, its telling a story, reliving memories and of course making them while we do. Thanks to Sarah and Ben these particular ones leading up to and during their special day will be ones I’ll never forget.

Their down to earth nature and love for the great outdoors found us capturing the sweet bliss of their engagement at Curtis Falls in Mt Tambourine on the Gold Coast. Here it became evident that these two shared so much more than just their love for each other; they were relaxed, confident and shared passions that complemented one another with one of them hiking; so much, that even skipping away from their intimate celebration to climb mountains together was a must, and I am so glad we did!

Dress in hand and tie in-tact, reaching sunset views from Mt Sturgeon on their wedding day made for the most cherishable moments that followed a ceremony of perfection.

We laughed, stumbled and eventually made our way to this Victorian peak where they reminisced and took the next steps into their journey as one doing exactly what they love hand in hand before we made our way back down to join the guests of 10 with much earned quenching beverage or two.

I didn’t know what to expect when I flew down to Melbourne to capture this beautiful wedding, but what I got was more than I ever could have imagined and not just the images, but my own memories to last.

Thank you Sarah and Ben for allowing me to be a part of your journey, from the beginning onwards. It was magical to say the least.
