What is it that you do? Short answer: Help couples feel great about their ceremony... not just personal but also meaningful and enjoyable for everyone.

How long have you been doing weddings? I married Sonny and Carla in 2010 and have celebrated 1109 families since!

How long do brides normally book in advance? It varies so much, between 3 years and 1 month. But the pressure is really on for the popular dates. Saturday afternoons, especially in spring are usually booked out 2 years ahead of time. The furthest out I've been booked is 38 months in advance... thats enthusiasm!

How can couples make their ceremony personal? Great question!! Forget everything they know about the event of a wedding. try to summarise in a sentence what actually matters to them and why they want to get married. There will always be a few key elements that bubble to the surface and those should be tangibly present in the ceremony, things that matter to you, things worth celebrating!

How would you describe your style? Warm. Thats my goal anyway. So many ceremonies are built to 'not be boring' but a lack of boredom doesn't guarantee a great celebration. The first ingredients are care and interest. If everyone present can tell that the day matters to me, and that they cant help but be interested in the content because it's focused on the people that they love then we're off to a great start. In that atmosphere we're able to explore some genuine humour and discover some meaningful moments.

If you could share one piece of advice what would it be? Trust. As you're planning a wedding dont book anyone you dont trust... just dont do it; they're not the right person/organisation for you. Book people you trust, then work with them and trust that they'll give you their best in the lead up to and on the day.

Do you have any vendors you love working with, we would love to know? I absolutely have favourites but I only found those favourites because of the incredible diversity that exists in the wild world of weddings! My philosophy is to deliver the very best results for my clients, that includes making room for every service provider to shine. In no way am I perfect at that but to the best of my ability and to the scope of my understanding I'll do what I can.

What was one of the craziest weddings you have had? I don't think I'll ever forget the singing bride. She didn't just say 'I Do' when i offered her the mic, she busted out into song. then she took the mic and serenaded her groom for several minutes. I just wish I'd known that she wanted to do that, we could have made it so incredible but the guests were... a little confused :)

Who do you think your style is suited for? People who want to enjoy their ceremony without sacrificing meaning. They don't want it to be boring, but they also don't want it to feel like a sideshow, they want to feel married! Genuine, warm laughter and quality reflection with maybe a few happy tears

Tell us more about you? Love my wife and two daughters and everything I do is for them. We give between 10 and 20 % of all our turnover (last year it was over 30% of profit) to local charities and love being involved in local community and church groups. You know what they say; 'if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life', well I'm so blessed to have discovered that to be true, I'm always busy but I'm never working.
