Megan & Craig, Ancora, Tweed Heads.

We all have our favourite wedding moments when are part of such a special wedding day. Girlfriends of the bride woo over the very first moment she first walks down the aisle, tossing their head from side to side to try and unveil the raw emotion from both the bride and groom as their eyes meet for the first time, their hearts melting as wildly as their eyes. The boys are there for the banter, while they too try to ignore their heart turning into mush, their favourite moments lie a little deeper into the night as the party unfolds and the crew is back together, living and laughing about old times. The youngest girls dote over the bride as she transforms into a bride right before their eyes, making them believe in magic love and all the wonderful things. The little boys are living for the moments they can run free, free from any aisle responsibilities and wait patiently impatient for the cake to be served…I could go on all day about what I have learned about each magical moment that unfolds on a wedding day and who, but I’d like to tell you mine.

My favourite moments often go unseen. They are photographed as they happen, they are real, raw and full of every bit of character that oozes with honesty, authenticity and of course, all the tiny things that make a love so special. It is these alone that continue to ignite my passion and excitement for wedding photography and as Megan and Craig began the rest of their forever with a love-fest spectacular at Ancora, these were flowing by the hundred.

Laugh out loud moments were among the many, while intimate time alone along the Tweed shoreline transcended us into a time that will long live as unforgettable in the heart of Megan and Craig. They stood on the water’s edge speaking of their day, beaming, glowing with energy and probably wondering what to do with their hands, but they didn’t have to. The moment they stopped being exactly who they were was the moment I put my camera down. Nothing would beat the perfection of her embellished gown glistening with the ocean, her romantic florals draping by her side and his smile with her wrapped up in his love. This was my favourite moment.
